lulu.com

I was searching for a method to deliver downloadable eBooks. I came across this great site called lulu.com where you can do just that. It only too e a short time to set up a storefront and provide my first downloadable book.

Recueil des Lettres de Madame de Sévigné. (1810)

It is simple to use. Only downside is they appear to take 20% of the fees when someone downloads a book but probably worth it in the simplicity of use.

Hello world!

4,February, 2008

This blog will contain my jottings on genealogy (that’s family history to you) and my attempts to sell genealogy stuff. Whilst I must classify myself as non-professional (I don’t earn much money at it). I have been at it now for 43 years so I have some experience and a number of collected books to sell.

I used to post everything on a web site until I got paranoid about security and identity theft. I am sure there is a strand there about the conflict between privacy and genealogy. So I have taken everything off my web site and have started to restructure what and how I put it. I shall also start to have a look at phpgedview to see if that is secure. You can look at my work as I re invent it at www.martinferrier.com. I have also started to sell some of the material I use in my research, you can find that as an ever growing collection at www.majesticmole.com.

Anyway that is enough to start this with. Any comments welcome.
